What McKenzie’s been working on
As the founder of Pedestrian Pride, I use digital storytelling to advocate for safer, more accessible streets. The project centers the experiences of working-class commuters and challenges the systems that make being a non driver dangerous.
Served as lead content producer for the National Organization for Youth Safety’s NYTEC conference, where I captured key moments, produced daily recaps, and interviewed youth attendees to highlight their leadership.
Communications Director & Steering Committee Member
I lead chapter communications and strategy to mobilize working-class reproductive rights, labor organizing, and local elections.
Created viral campaign videos and political memes that grew chapter visibility
Managed press, email, and social media for canvasses
Helped coordinate our medical debt relief campaign, raising over $16,000 to cancel real debt
Communications & Social Media Director
As part of Vera Elwood’s campaign for Columbia’s Ward 2 City Council seat, I led digital strategy and storytelling to connect with voters, mobilize volunteers, and amplify Vera’s vision of a Columbia for All.
